For 20 years, retreats for adults with developmental disabilities had been organized under the patronage of Our Lady of the Rosary Parish in Detroit. At the end of 2017, Rosary Community Retreats Foundation was established as a not-for-profit organization in charge of these retreats.
Rosary Community Retreats Foundation is an open Christian Family, uniting people of different ages and with various abilities and disabilities from the metro Detroit area. Several times a year we gather for weekends in a peaceful setting. In a Christian spirit we enjoy our mutual friendship, share the Word of God, pray together and celebrate life. These are times to deepen our love and concern for one another, to build a community that wishes to become more inviting, loving, healing, and one with the distressed/alienated people of our society.
